Amelia Heath is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Seattle, Washington.  In this capacity, she provides high-net-worth families and individuals with comprehensive and innovative strategies to address the complexities of their financial lives and pursue their personal, family, and community goals.  A primary focus for Amelia is working with business owners engaging in succession planning up to and through a sale, gift to family members, or other transition of their enterprise.  She provides services in the areas of wealth structuring, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, tax minimization strategies, risk management, cash flow planning, and philanthropy.  Amelia recognizes the uniqueness of each client’s priorities and values, and helps clients to create stewardship across multiple generations to help families derive greater fulfillment and purpose from their wealth.

Amelia enjoys giving back to her community. Previously, she served on the board of directors for the Albertina Kerr Centers Foundation in Portland, Oregon, where she worked to reach the organization’s goals of assisting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and other social barriers to lead self-determined lives and reach their full potential.  She is also a former executive committee member of the Oregon State Bar Estate Planning and Administration Section and the Seminar Planning Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Portland.

Amelia joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2013.  Prior to joining the bank, she was an attorney with the law firms of Holland and Knight LLP and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where she practiced for over 10 years with a focus on wealth transfer and tax planning, business succession planning, and estate and trust administration.   

Amelia earned her J.D. from Willamette University College of Law, summa cum laude, where she was an articles editor with the Willamette Law Review.  She earned her B.S. in history from Seattle Pacific University, summa cum laude. 

Amelia is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar.  In her role at Bank of America Private Bank, she does not provide tax advice.
