Amy Hughes is a Managing Director and Market Executive at Bank of America Private Bank. She is responsible for the Illinois Market. Amy directs the efforts of Private Client Advisors and Private Client Managers in the region, facilitating their work with high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. Amy helps her team leverage the extensive resources and strategies of the Private Bank to cater to the distinctive demands and priorities of the region’s clients. Amy is skilled in helping advisors navigate and leverage the opportunities available to clients, intensifying outreach and service. She also helps advocate for clients, working with advisors to identify and integrate the offerings that align with client priorities. Amy fosters a highly personalized ethic; she and her team customize their work to address the unique needs, values, and goals of the clients they serve.

Previously, she served as Market Executive for Bank of America Private Bank in Michigan and Complex Director for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Illinois and Michigan. Amy began her financial services career in 1987 at TCF Bank in Minnesota. She came to Bank of America through its acquisition of LaSalle Bank, which she joined in 2000 to develop a training division for entry-level financial advisors; Amy ultimately was named Illinois Sales Manager.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Amy earned her B.I.S. in Industrial Relations and Organizational Psychology. Amy sits on the Choose Chicago Board and is a chair for Cradles to Crayons Corporate Advisory Council. She has also recently joined The Chicago Network through invite only membership. Outside the office, Amy enjoys golfing and skiing.
