Banu Asik Elizondo is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Atlanta, Georgia. Summoning her more than 20 years of financial experience, Banu brings a deep personal commitment and boutique-like level of service to an ambitious clientele. They include financial industry executives, owners of private businesses (many facing liquidity events), physicians, and families who’ve created wealth in commercial real estate.

Leading a team of specialists, Banu works diligently to help clients pursue their desired lifestyles and meaningful legacies. Supported by the extensive resources of Bank of America, she and her colleagues craft financial, tax minimization and estate planning strategies for clients and provide residential and commercial lending.

Before joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2017, Banu was a senior portfolio manager responsible for emerging markets sovereign debt portfolios at Invesco Advisers and ING Investment Management US (now VOYA Financial). She also served as a mutual fund manager in respective asset classes for both firms, and was quoted as a thought leader in several financial publications including the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Bloomberg. Prior to becoming a portfolio manager in 2011, she was a senior credit analyst at several financial institutions.

Banu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Duke University. She is a member of the advisory board for the Duke Annual Fund, and a member of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA)’s emerging leaders board. She is a passionate supporter of cancer research as a member of the board of directors at Ian’s Friends Foundation, and through her active involvement at Duke Cancer Institute.
