Bill Gassen is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Kansas City, Missouri. Bill serves as a key point of client contact for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions, helping them streamline multiple facets of their wealth. Closely attuned to each client’s priorities, he provides coordination and communication across the members of a client’s Private Bank team, helping to propel steady momentum toward each client’s objectives and long-term aspirations.
Bill works in concert with a Private Client Advisor and a tight-knit team of specialists. Together, they strive to unwind the intricacies of each client’s situation, providing balanced advice and forward-looking guidance. An attentive listener, Bill develops deep and enduring relationships with the clients he serves, pinpointing resources that are designed to make clients’ lives easier and their finances more efficient. His areas of focus include cash-flow analysis and liquidity strategies, credit and lending, and tax-sensitive investing. Bill also connects clients to the Bank’s extensive suite of digital capabilities, helping clients develop a unified and timely view of their wealth.
Bill has worked in wealth management and banking since 2002. Prior to joining the Private Bank, he spent more than 14 years with U.S. Bank, where he was a Vice President and Private Banker. He also served several years as a Private Banking Team Lead at BOK Financial, which provided him with extensive knowledge of credit structuring and the loan-approval process. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
Bill and his wife Rhonda have two daughters and a son. In his free time, Bill loves to spend time outdoors, particularly camping and canoeing with his family. He also enjoys supporting his children in their sports activities and serves as a volunteer coach. His hobbies include gardening and cooking.
