Brian Hungerford is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Greenville, South Carolina. With more than 25 years of experience at the bank, he takes great satisfaction in building and enhancing deep relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families and philanthropic institutions throughout the Southeast. 

Utilizing his background in commercial and investment banking, Brian offers a sophisticated perspective and strategic guidance for debt capital raising to help provide financing for mergers and acquisitions, working capital, and recapitalizations. By helping identify his clients’ unique wealth management priorities, he can connect them to the extensive resources at Bank of America, including asset management, multi-generational wealth transfer, philanthropic giving, and debt financing.

Brian began his career in 1993 with Bank of America as part of its management associate program. There he gained a depth of experience in corporate reporting, merger transactions and internal management reporting. He later held roles with the bank as an associate in the corporate banking division; a director in the high-grade capital markets group; and a credit product specialist in the middle market commercial bank. 

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2016, Brian was a Bank of America enterprise business specialist where he worked with advisors from Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and the Private Bank to help identify commercial, corporate and investment banking opportunities for their clients. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Polytechnic University and State University. 

Brian and his wife reside in Greenville with their four daughters. Active in his local community, he is a board member for the Greenville Area Parkinson’s Society and a past board member for the Junior Achievement of Upstate South Carolina and the Greenville Country Club. In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing golf, fishing and coaching girl’s youth basketball.
