Senior Vice President, Private Client Advisor

Professional Profile

Casey Smith is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the past decade, he has developed a thoughtful understanding of the issues that can impact the financial lives of business owners and a select group of clients in the art and collectables market. Casey also serves the needs of influencers in cutting-edge industries and our next generation of clients.

He draws on his experiences to help these clients and their families prepare for various life transitions, including buying, selling and exiting their businesses. Working with a team of dedicated specialists, Casey can help business owners uncover possible efficiencies in credit and lending solutions, tax minimization strategies, business succession and legacy planning. Focusing on both sides of their balance sheets, he provides a tailored wealth management approach to help clients address the entirety of their financial lives.

Casey began his career with Bank of America in 2011 and has held various roles in the home financing, retail banking, and commercial banking divisions, where he helped connect business owners to the resources and capabilities that aligned with their specific needs. He joined the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2016. Casey earned his B.B.A. in small business and entrepreneurship from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.

Passionate about helping young entrepreneurs, Casey currently serves as chairman of the Charlotte City Club Young Professional Group. He is also on the board of advisors for the NC Tech Association and the grant making committee for Bank of America.

Ten years ago, Casey and his wife, Christina, relocated from New York to Charlotte’s South End where they enjoy exploring everything their local community has to offer, including its vibrant arts scene with their sociable pug.
