Charlotte McGee is a Senior Vice President and Institutional Portfolio Manager within the Institutional Investments Group at Bank of America Private Bank. She brings more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry to her role and is responsible for guiding her clients in developing and executing investment plans that allow organizations to successfully fulfill their purpose.  These objectives may include developing a strategic and tactical asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction by utilizing the Private Bank’s broad investment platform. Charlotte focuses on both the short- and long-term needs of her clients, balancing the challenges of a dynamic market environment within an appropriate risk framework. Whether she is working with endowments, foundations or employee benefit plans, Charlotte is focused on helping the organization obtain clarity about the financial implications of marrying missions and investment strategies.

Charlotte’s prior experience in key leadership roles at Bank of America allowed her to work closely with Private Client Advisors and their team members to deliver the entire Bank of America banking platform to the Virginia client base. Charlotte has also led a broad team of investment professionals, dedicated to providing sophisticated and comprehensive investment management for clients of the Private Bank.

Prior to joining Bank of America, Charlotte held the role of Private Client Advisor at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo), where she obtained significant experience working with an accomplished client base. She is familiar with the complexities of having significant investment needs and accomplished at delivering client-focused strategies and a diverse perspective across the wealth management landscape. Charlotte began her career at Sovran Bank in the Management Trainee Program and upon completion held for a decade the position of fixed income trader for NationsBanc Capital Markets.

Charlotte graduated from University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics. She has worked closely with non-profit organizations within Virginia and currently serves on the boards of Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and The Valentine.
