Daniel Kay is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank, in Los Angeles, California. An efficient and creative problem solver, he draws on more than two decades of wealth management experience to help connect ultra-high-net-worth clients to the global resources of the Private Bank. Daniel takes great satisfaction in his ability to manage complex and strategic relationships with commercial real estate owners and developers, corporate executives, and business owners.
As a relationship builder Daniel is readily accessible. His personalized approach takes a broad overview of clients’ financial lives. Long before he formulates any specific strategies, he spends considerable time asking questions and learning about their goals for their families and their businesses.
To aid him in addressing their unique situations, Daniel draws not only on his own knowledge, but also on a team of specialists with deep experience in investment management, trust and estate planning services, philanthropic opportunities, and sophisticated credit and lending solutions for acquisitions of fine art and other collectables.
Daniel started his career in wealth management in 1995. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2017, he served as a director and private banker with Deutsche Bank. Previously, he served as a wealth management executive at Credit Suisse Private Bank, Salomon Smith Barney, and Bear Stearns. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University.
Daniel and his wife have two daughters. His hobbies revolve around art, culture, and a variety of outdoor sports, including skiing, snowboarding, surfing, golf and tennis. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his older daughter compete in national junior tennis tournaments.
