Daniel (Dan) P. Casper

Managing Director, Wealth Strategies Advisor

Professional Profile

Dan Casper is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Hartford, Connecticut. He works closely with multi-generational families to anticipate and address a wide range of wealth strategy needs. He helps design and deliver tactical financial strategies in estate planning, intergenerational wealth planning, charitable giving, concentrated stock option planning, retirement planning, income tax planning, and cash flow analysis.

An integral part of Dan’s approach is to support the needs of entrepreneurs and business owners with strategic guidance on corporate structure, business succession and exit planning strategies. He has the knowledge to help develop and implement pre-sale tax minimization strategies in anticipation of a liquidity event.

As tax laws are rewritten and personal and family circumstances shift, Dan takes an integrated view of clients’ trust and estate planning documents to review beneficiaries and to help ensure that assets are properly titled and to identify current and long-term needs and goals. He also works in concert with clients’ accountants, attorneys and other professional advisors to help develop personalized strategies that can help address their family’s philanthropic and tax planning goals.*

Dan joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Purdue University and a master’s degree in finance from Fairfield University.  He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

A member of the Estate and Business Planning council of Hartford, Dan is a frequent speaker on estate, financial, and business planning topics. He has served on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and has been involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for more than 20 years, having served on its Board of Directors.
