Derek Mahoney is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in New York City, New York. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Derek spent five years with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York and Greenwich, where he was a Private Banker to high-net-worth families, family offices, and institutions. He began his career as an Institutional Equity Trader with Miller Tabak in New York in 2004.

Derek earned his B.A. in economics from Middlebury College, where he was captain of the sailing team. He holds an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, with a concentration in capital markets and asset management.

Derek lives with his family in Rye, New York. He is a Steward of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick Society of the City of New York, the oldest charitable institution in the city. He is also an active supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and a former board member of the Port Chester Carver Center, a nonprofit organization that assists underprivileged youth and families.
