Edward D. Abdelnour is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Hartford, Connecticut. Drawing on sophisticated cash-flow modeling and probabilistic forecasting programs, Ed helps corporate executives, business owners, individuals and families make educated decisions about their financial objectives, time horizons and exposure to risk relative to their projected income and spending goals.

Ed takes great satisfaction in helping corporate executives with complex tax and estate planning strategies in line with their legacy goals. Working with business owners, he provides strategic guidance on succession planning, gifting, and exit strategies in the event of a sale. Drawing on his background in estate law, Ed offers insightful perspective to help individuals and families optimize their charitable planning to help meet their philanthropic goals. He also collaborates with their outside professional advisors to help oversee the proper implementation of various estate planning strategies.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2013 (formerly U.S. Trust), Ed practiced law in the West Hartford, Connecticut, office of Cummings & Lockwood LLC, and at Rogin Nassau LLC in Hartford. His practice focused on trust and estate plan administration, charitable planning, and family business strategies.

After graduating from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in English, Ed earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law. While in law school, he served as Executive Editor of its International Law Journal.

Ed has served on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and the Professional Advisors Council of Save the Children. A member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford, he is a frequent speaker on estate and tax planning topics.
