Eric Hoffman is a Managing Director; Private Bank Market Executive for Chicago with Bank of America Private Bank. Eric directs the activities of Private Client Advisors and Managers throughout the Market, helping to optimize the client experience through the delivery of highly customized strategies and offerings that align with each client’s unique priorities. A natural connector, he facilitates effective collaboration within and across the enterprise, broadening access to an extensive range of client capabilities. Eric is also responsible for recruiting, retaining, and mentoring preeminent talent in the Market, supporting the development of human capital by streamlining access to training, technology, and resources.
Eric has more than two decades of leadership experience in multiple lines of business, including wealth management, consumer and business banking, and residential lending. He joined Bank of America in 2005 and moved to Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2014. He has steadily assumed additional responsibilities within the firm, supporting strategic growth and development throughout the Midwest. Most recently, Eric served as the Client & Business Management Executive for the Central North Division at Private Bank. Previously, he was the Client Management Executive for the Chicago, Minnesota, St. Louis, and Kansas City markets. A strong advocate for workplace diversity, he supports a number of affinity groups within the enterprise and is an enthusiastic proponent of community and civic engagement.
A native Chicagoan, Eric and his wife Kristy live in the western suburbs with their children, Marissa and Eric. In his free time, Eric volunteers with his family at the Northern Illinois Food Bank and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. He is also an active supporter of Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit organization that provides necessities to children from birth to 12 years of age.
