Esperanza Martinez is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in San Diego, California. She works closely with a diverse ultra-high-net-worth clientele that includes multi-generational families, professional athletes, and business owners. Esperanza has more than 25 years of financial experience, most of it with Bank of America. She draws on this background to navigate the enterprise, connecting clients with extensive resources and capabilities designed to help them manage complex wealth.
Esperanza leads a team of Private Bank professionals who collectively assist clients in designing strategies to pursue their lifetime and legacy financial goals. The team works together to tailor ideas and opportunities to each client’s wealth management objectives, with a focus on investment management strategies and specialized credit and lending solutions. They can offer customized financing for clients who want to purchase or refinance a primary/second home or cash out commercial real estate, as well as options for residential, aircraft, yacht and art lending.
Esperanza started her Bank of America career as a teller in 1988. She subsequently held positions in lending, investment services and financial relationship management, including at Bank of America’s International Private Bank. Then, she spent 12 years as a premier banker at Wells Fargo Bank focusing on Spanish-speaking clients. Returning to Bank of America, she joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2019.
Esperanza graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
She is an inaugural member of the Private Bank Women’s Empowerment Network and serves on the Private Bank Hispanic Executive Leadership Council. Esperanza is also a member of the Hispanic Latino Business Council in San Diego, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
