Professional Profile

Farrel is a Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Providence, RI and Boston, MA. Farrel serves clients whose lives are in motion and often in transition – serial entrepreneurs, corporate executives, hedge fund and portfolio managers at other financial institutions and generations of families.

On each client’s behalf, she and her team of specialists seek to optimize both sides of the balance sheet by delivering a customized strategy that may include investment and cash flow management, concentrated equity strategies, trust and estate planning services, business and succession planning, and credit and lending services.

Farrel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. She also holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.

Critical to Farrel is appreciating what clients define as the purpose of their wealth, their short- and long-term goals, and those family members for whom they are responsible. By communicating with both spouses and adult children whenever possible, she can more effectively develop solutions that address a range of objectives.

Before joining Bank of America Private Bank, Farrel was a wealth-planning analyst and a financial advisor at UBS – serving ultra-high-net-worth families.

Farrel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College. At Babson, she received a four-year Merit Scholarship from its Center for Women’s Leadership. Outside of the office, she enjoys golf, sailing, skiing and spending time with her husband, James, and two stepdaughters.
