Professional Profile

Farrel is a Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Boston, Massachusetts. Farrel serves clients whose lives are in motion and often in transition – serial entrepreneurs, corporate executives, hedge fund and portfolio managers at other financial institutions, generations of families, and individuals experiencing a new marital status.

On each client’s behalf, she and her team of specialists seek to optimize both sides of the balance sheet by delivering a customized strategy that may include investment and cash flow management, concentrated equity strategies, trust and estate planning services, business and succession planning, and credit and lending services.

Farrel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. She also holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.

Critical to Farrel is appreciating what clients define as the purpose of their wealth, their short- and long-term goals, and those family members for whom they are responsible. By communicating with both spouses and adult children whenever possible, she can more effectively develop solutions that address a range of objectives.

Before joining Bank of America Private Bank, Farrel was a wealth-planning analyst and financial advisor at UBS – serving ultra-high-net-worth families.

Farrel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College, where she received a four-year Merit Scholarship from its Center for Women’s Leadership. Since 2014, Farrel has served as a Director on the Babson Alumni Association Board of Directors. Outside of the office, she enjoys golf, skiing and spending time with her husband, James, and two stepdaughters.
