Filomena Soyster is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Hartford, Connecticut. She leads a team that works closely with business owners, executives, high-net-worth individuals, multiple generations of families, non-profit organizations, institutional endowments, and philanthropic foundations. Her goal is to help guide clients to positive outcomes in virtually all phases of wealth management. Filomena’s knowledge and background in commercial banking is integral to connecting clients to the broader resources of Bank of America.

Filomena introduces a broad range of exceptional private business and family services, including banking, credit, investments, trust and estate planning, wealth management planning and philanthropic strategies. She and her experienced team help clients make informed decisions on the financing of art and other collectibles, aircraft, boats, and residential and commercial real estate. 

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2005, Filomena held strategic leadership roles in predecessor banks. As an executive vice president at Fleet, she directed key strategic business lines, including business banking, consumer banking and home financing. Filomena was also the regional head of a global firm specializing in executive coaching, leadership development and career management. 

Active in her community, Filomena is a board member and president of The Malta House of Care (MHC) Foundation, also serving on its clinic board. Additionally, she is a member of The International Women’s Forum of Connecticut, Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford, Connecticut Women’s Council and the Farmington Garden Club. She has also served on the Wadsworth Atheneum Board of Directors.  

Filomena earned her Bachelor’s degree from Smith College and her Master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She also completed the Commercial Lending Training Program at Bankers Trust Company in New York. In December, 2019 Filomena was recognized by Hartford Magazine* as one of 30 Women of Distinction making a difference in the Greater Hartford community. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations.
