Professional Profile

Geena Mayback is Managing Director and New York Tri-State Division Executive for Bank of America Private Bank. With over thirty years of financial services experience, she leads a high-performing group of more than 500 client teams and associates throughout New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware, who work in concert to deliver deeply customized wealth strategy, advice, and service to an accomplished clientele. Her goal is to help ensure the firm’s private and institutional clients receive the highest caliber of integrated investment and wealth management, drawing on an expansive suite of enterprise-wide capabilities.

Geena’s areas of focus include communicating the Private Bank’s strategic priorities throughout her six markets; attracting and developing premier advisory talent; identifying opportunities to deepen client engagement; connecting her team to the resources and technology that can help them thrive in their roles; and collaborating with senior leaders to support and sustain a culture of excellence. Her background in banking, investing, and wealth transfer intensifies her ability to streamline decision-making and promote effective collaboration.

She began her financial services career in 1989 with LaSalle Bank (a legacy Bank of America bank) in Chicago. After nearly a decade with LaSalle, Geena joined Bank of America in 1999 and the Private Bank in 2007 as a Market Executive in Chicago. Since rejoining the firm, she has assumed leadership roles with increasing responsibilities due to her penchant for quickly adapting and contributing to new environments, combined with her ability to improve performance and drive growth in struggling markets across the country.

Geena enjoys amplifying the strong heritage of Bank of America with her strong passion for culture and the arts. She is currently helping to shape the Private Bank’s Women & Leadership Arts, Culture & Heritage Strategy, which focuses on deepening relationships with high-net-worth women with an affinity for art, culture and their heritage. Geena is also a member of the Hispanic Latino Executive Leadership Council for Bank of America and the Bank of America Enterprise Hispanic-Latino Business Strategy Council—representing the Private Bank. She is proud to help educate and create experiences focused on the Asian, Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino and LGBTQ+ cultures.

Geena and her husband reside in Manhattan. She is an executive sponsor of the New York LGBTQ+ Business Council and serves on the Business Leadership Council for the Central Park Conservancy in New York City.
