Gregory A. Cygan is a Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer in the Scottsdale/Phoenix office of Bank of America Private Bank. Greg is currently responsible for addressing the trust and estate planning needs of high-net-worth families and individuals.* Greg, together with a team of skilled advisors in the private bank, provides strategies for clients in the areas of investment, banking, credit and estate planning.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Greg was with The Northern Trust Company for over 19 years serving high-net-worth families and individuals within Northern Trust’s Wealth Advisory Services team. He started his career as a Research Analyst on the Judiciary and Education Committees for the Arizona State Senate. In 1994, Greg became Senior Counsel for the Securities Division, Corporate Finance Section of the Arizona Corporation Commission. From 1996 and prior to joining Northern Trust he was a Senior Consultant in the Strategy, Finance and Economics Group of Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Greg holds a B.S. degree in business and finance from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona, Tucson.

Greg has been a member of the Arizona Bar Association since his admission in 1991. Greg is also a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School and  holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation, which is sponsored by the ABA Institute of Certified Bankers. He is a current member of the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council, the East Valley Estate Planning Council and is past President of the Camelback Kiwanis Club. Greg also served as member and Treasurer of the Executive Council for the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Arizona Bar Association. Greg previously served as member of the Planned Giving Advisory Committee of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation.
