Gus Spaulding is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Denver, Colorado. Responsible for leading a select team of specialists, Gus focuses on managing the complexity that can accompany significant wealth for clients residing in the Rockies and on both coasts.

Gus works closely with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth entrepreneurs and owners of private businesses, senior-level executives, generations of wealthy families, family offices, and philanthropic institutions.

With much of his attention devoted to business owners who anticipate selling or passing along the enterprise they’ve created, Gus pursued specialized training and holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute. Gus is also President of The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2016, Gus was a banker with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City and then in Denver. Previous to that, he held an operational position at Brown Brothers Harriman in Boston. Gus graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine, where he majored in economics and minored in sociology. Gus was also a captain of the school’s football team and recipient of the Frederick G.P. Thorne Award for Outstanding Leadership of a Male Student Athlete.

Gus serves on the Colorado Leadership Team for the MSAG (Military Support and Assistance Group) at Bank of America. He is an alumnus of the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation and the Teach For America Colorado Champion’s Circle. He and his wife, Dana, actively support ACE Scholarships and are involved with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. Gus enjoys family time with his wife and dog, playing golf, skiing, hiking and sports of all kind.
