Gus Spaulding is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank. He is responsible for developing and managing relationships with private business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, high net worth families and philanthropic institutions.  Gus helps his clients to define, pursue and integrate their financial priorities.  He and his team focus on addressing the complexity that can accompany significant wealth, helping clients execute on planning strategies that leverage the breadth of offerings at Bank of America Private Bank.

Gus is proud to have earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute.  The CEPA program is the most widely accepted and endorsed professional exit planning program in the world, and was specifically designed for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies.  Gus is also the President of The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank in 2016, Gus was a banker with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City and then in Denver. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he held a position at another financial institution in Boston. Gus received his bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a major in Economics and a minor in Sociology. While at Bowdoin, Gus was a member of the football team and recipient of the Frederick G.P. Thorne Award for Outstanding Leadership.

Gus is a member of the Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain - JA Engage organization, an alumnus of the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation and the Teach For America Colorado Champion’s Circle.  He and his wife are active with ACE Scholarships, and also remain involved with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. His interests include spending time with his family, golf, skiing, hiking, and sports of all kind. Gus lives in Denver with his wife, Dana, and their dog, Tedy.
