Howard Schwartz is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Baltimore, Maryland.  He works with a nationwide clientele that includes business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives and ultra-high-net-worth families.  Drawing on more than 25 years of financial services experience, Howard guides clients in creating personalized financial strategies to pursue their life and legacy goals. 

Howard leads a team of skilled Private Bank specialists who work across multiple disciplines to design and implement financial strategies based on a thorough understanding of each client’s personal values and vision. These include strategies for investment management, philanthropy, and pre- and post-liquidity event planning. The team can also offer trust and estate services, as well as customized credit and lending solutions.    

Howard joined the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2010 as a portfolio manager.  He started his financial career in 1990, and his previous experience includes roles at Goldman Sachs, BB&T Wealth Management, PNC (formerly Mercantile) Bank, and Brown Investment Advisory.  In addition to individuals and families, he has worked with family foundations, endowments and Taft-Hartley accounts.  

Howard holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland College Park and a master’s degree in business administration from the Loyola College Sellinger School of Business.  He is a member of the Baltimore Security Analyst Society.  In the community, he serves on the board of The Judah B. Pushkin Memorial Fund and was a member of Team Fight for The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.

An enthusiastic runner, Howard has participated in the New York, Chicago, Baltimore and Marine Corps marathons. He and his wife, Buffy, have four children.  They live in Ellicott City, Maryland.
