Howard Schwartz is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Baltimore, Maryland, and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry including investments, philanthropy, credit and banking. Howard works with business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives and affluent families to develop personalized plans and to implement advice and guidance based on a thorough understanding of their personal values, wealth management and wealth transfer goals, and their vision for their legacies. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, but working with clients nationally, Howard leads a team of Bank of America Private Bank specialists who cater to the unique needs of each client, integrating multiple disciplines: investment management, pre‐ and post‐ liquidity event strategy, trust and estate planning services, customized credit, lending and philanthropy.
Howard joined the Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in April 2010 as a Portfolio Manager with extensive financial services experience, joining the industry in 1990. Prior to joining Bank of America, Howard worked at Goldman Sachs, BB&T Wealth Management, PNC (formerly Mercantile) and Brown Investment Advisory. In addition to working with individuals and families, his experience includes working with Family Foundations, Endowments, and Taft-Hartley Accounts.
Howard earned his bachelor degree in economics from the University of Maryland College Park in 1989, and a Master of Business Administration in 1995 from the Loyola College Sellinger School of Business. He is a board member of The Judah B. Pushkin Fund, as well as a new board trustee for the non-profit SOBAR. He is also member of the Baltimore Security Analyst Society, and was a member of Team Fight for The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
Howard and his wife, Buffy have four children, two grandchildren and live in Ellicott City, Maryland.
