Jim Kemp is a Private Client Manager at Bank of America Private Bank in St. Louis, Missouri. Leading a team of in-house specialists, he brings three decades of extensive and relevant experience to nonprofit organizations, foundations and endowments, and high-net-worth families.

An active volunteer with many arts, education, and social service organizations in the St.Louis area, Jim uses the Private Bank’s extensive resources and specializes in institutional and endowment administration, non-profit management, family philanthropy and other services. He enjoys helping institutional clients heighten effectiveness and fulfill desired missions through thoughtful strategies.

Jim also seeks to be a trusted advisor to families – helping them pursue their philanthropic interests and establish meaningful personal legacies. He is passionate about helping clients deploy and manage their resources, pursue their missions, and enjoy more interesting and rewarding lives for themselves, and the people and causes they cherish.

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2015, Jim spent more than 25 years in the non-profit field – including several roles at John Burroughs School where he led capital and endowment campaigns, gift and estate planning initiatives, and alumni relations efforts. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for advancement campaigns at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and held positions with KETC Channel 9 Public Television and Eden Theological Seminary.

A St. Louis native, Jim earned his B.S.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is an active volunteer with Doorways (an interfaith non-profit which provides housing for people living with HIV/AIDS), Aim High St. Louis (a summer enrichment program for students from at-risk neighborhoods), and Arts and Faith St. Louis, among other causes. Jim and his family reside in Ladue, Missouri.
