James Walsh is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Greensboro, North Carolina. He offers strategic guidance to a select group of high-net-worth clients, including business owners and their families, who lead complex and sophisticated financial lives.

From helping grow a business, to maximizing its value through a sale, James and his dedicated team can connect business owners to the resources and capabilities that align with their unique needs. As the key point of client contact, he is responsible for assessing client goals, determining priorities and building a team of specialists around each client. Together, they look to uncover possible efficiencies and design and implement tailored financial strategies in investment management, business succession planning, tax minimization strategies, liquidity-event planning, philanthropic opportunities, and credit and lending solutions.

James, who holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation, began his career with Bank of America in 2006 in global commercial banking and joined the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2017. Prior to his career in finance, he served as a missionary in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, James has earned several advanced degrees, including his bachelor’s degree, an M.B.A. in international business from Liberty University and his master’s degree in biblical counseling from The Master’s University. He is also fluent in English and Spanish.

In addition to guiding his financial clients, James serves as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro Bryan School of Business. He also enjoys counseling at his local church and volunteering with several local nonprofits, including Big Brother Big Sister, Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA. James and his wife have four sons.
