Jeffrey (Jeff) Chatlos

Vice President, Private Client Advisor

Professional Profile

Jeff Chatlos is a Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeff joined the Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2017, and has served ultra-high-net-worth women and men including biotech and other executives, active and retired entrepreneurs (many who have sold their businesses and begun their next venture), real estate investors and developers, artists and collectors, wealthy families and multi-family offices, since 2000.

Shaped by his prior experiences as an entrepreneur, attorney and director of estate planning at Fidelity Investments, Jeff brings clients a distinct blend of knowledge and perspective. For Jeff, taking a multi-generational view of a client’s financial picture is second nature. He leads a team of specialists that is devoted to helping clients pursue philanthropic endeavors, as well as preserve and pass along wealth and values to their children and grandchildren. He also shows “the next generation” what it means to be a beneficiary and accept the mantle of managing family wealth.

On behalf of all clients, Jeff and his team provide traditional, specialty asset, alternative*, and capital market investment strategies, distribution strategies, lifetime cash flow and business transition planning, as well as access to residential, commercial, aviation, marine and art lending. The team also helps clients with wealth concentrated in specific areas (such as real estate) diversify assets, manage liquidity and find liquidity opportunities not yet recognized.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northeastern University, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and an L.L.M. in banking and financial law from Boston University School of Law.

Generous with his time, Jeff is a member of the Lower Mills Merchants Association (serving Dorchester and Milton) and a member of the Board of Trustees of The Forbes House Museum. He is also active in St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Milton.

Jeff Chatlos does not provide legal advice in his role at Bank of America Private Bank.
