Joel Martin is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Richmond, Virginia. As the primary point of contact for ultra-high-net-worth clients, Joel focuses on understanding the financial priorities that are most important to them. Drawing on the extensive resources of the Private Bank, he coordinates a team of knowledgeable specialists to support each client’s individual wealth management strategies.

Joel is committed to providing each client with a highly personalized, professional service experience. Together with his team, he can offer a range of services tailored to individual wealth management objectives. These include investment management strategies and specialized credit and lending solutions, as well as banking services to meet daily liquidity needs. 

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2018, Joel was a Business Banking Relationship Manager at Bank of America. In that role, he gained insights into the challenges and opportunities that significant wealth can bring to high-net-worth individuals and families. Previously, he was a Consumer Market Manager with Bank of America. 

Joel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the College of William & Mary, majoring in economics.  He graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and completed coursework for an MBA degree at the University of Richmond. Joel volunteers with several local organizations, including the United Way, Junior Achievement and the YMCA.
