John Miller, CEPA®, is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Newport Beach, California. John advises high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families throughout Southern California. He began his career with Bank of America over 30 years ago and draws from extensive experience in the private wealth management and commercial banking arenas.

John works with clients and their families to design and implement personalized strategies aimed at preserving net worth, risk mitigation, enhancing income and setting long-term investment strategies. He proactively listens to clients and seeks to understand and appreciate their unique dynamics to help them pursue their goals and ease their concerns around wealth. He then works to connect the people, processes, and services that clients need, harnessing the extensive capabilities of the firm.

John and his team of seasoned specialists provide clients with access to a broad array of capabilities within the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust). Their areas of focus include investment advice, trust and estate planning services, philanthropic strategies, liability management, and cash-flow management. John’s team also focuses on assisting business owners with succession or exit planning, tax-sensitive strategies for the eventual sale of a business, and ongoing business management.  He and his broader team have significant experience in and around the exit planning and business succession arena.

A native of Southern California, John lives in Alamitos Heights (Long Beach) with his wife and their two children.
