John is a Managing Director and Market Director for Bank of America Private Bank in Rochester, New York.  John leads a team of private banking professionals that provides wealth management and private banking services to business owners, high-net-worth families, private foundations and nonprofit organizations. John is responsible for providing strategic guidance to clients and together with his team deliver investment management, wealth structuring, trust and estate planning, residential and commercial real estate finance, security based and customized lending, and philanthropic services. 

John also serves a member of Bank of America's leadership team in Rochester and previously served as Bank of America's Market President for Rochester & Finger Lakes Region for nearly ten years.  In that capacity he drove the market's business integration activities following the acquisition of U.S. Trust and Merrill Lynch.  John also led Bank of America's efforts to champion strategies to combat the abandoned property and foreclosure issues in Rochester, New York stemming from the financial crisis.  His experience in the Market President role included delivering the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy locally, overseeing philanthropic grants, community development lending and investing activities, volunteerism and serving as a steward for the Bank of America lending & investing initiatives.

John's 35 plus year career with Bank of America also includes over 15 years as a Corporate and Commercial Banker within Bank of America's Global Commercial Bank where he worked with a broad range of publicly and privately held businesses.  John and his team were responsible for developing some of Bank of America's largest commercial banking relationships.  His career with Bank of America also included roles with Bank of America predecessor institutions including having served as Chief Financial Officer of Fleet Bank (Metro New York) and Norstar Bank of Central New York.  

John recently ended his term as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and continues to serve on its Executive Committee. He holds a B.S. with double majors in Finance and Accounting from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
