Professional Profile

Joseph F. Danowsky is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Florham Park, New Jersey. He works closely with an ultra-high-net-worth clientele nationwide – formulating and directing their integrated wealth management strategies.

Joe draws upon more than 25 years spent in wealth management, capital markets and law (although he does not provide legal advice as part of his work as a Private Bank Private Client Advisor). He has particular experience advising senior corporate executives, entrepreneurs, private equity and venture capital principals on the efficient management and deployment of stock wealth.

In addition to serving individuals and their families, Joe works diligently to assist several non-profit organizations. He is one of a select group of advisors holding the ICA (Institutional Client Advisor) title.

Joe and his team also offer loans secured by hedge fund assets and works of art, as well as aircraft and yacht financing. His team has specialized knowledge in multiple disciplines: investment management, trust and estate planning services, credit and lending, family office services and philanthropy.

Before joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust), Joe was a managing director and head of the strategic solutions group for Barclays Wealth Americas. Previous to that, he held a similar role at J.P. Morgan Securities. Joe also worked for more than 20 years at Bear, Stearns & Co., where was a Ssenior managing director. There, he helped establish the Advisory Services/Wealth Management Group. Joe launched his professional career at a major Philadelphia law firm.

Joe holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Joe and his wife, Sally, reside in Short Hills, New Jersey. Their son, Louis, recently graduated from Northwestern University.
