Julie Min Chayet is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Westport, Connecticut. Julie collaborates with a client’s broader Bank of America team and external advisors to oversee investment, trust, philanthropy, credit and lending services.

Julie joined the firm in 2014. Prior to her current role, she served as a Market Trust Executive for four years, leading a team of Trust Officers in Connecticut, upstate New York and Long Island. Her experience includes ten years with Fiduciary Trust Company International, where she served as Trust Counsel and as a Business Development Officer. Previously, Julie practiced law in New York and Connecticut, with a focus on estate planning and settlement.* She holds a B.A. from Haverford College, an M.P.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.

Julie is a former board member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City and is a frequent speaker on wealth transfer. She has written articles for Trusts & Estates, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and Director’s Monthly. She is a member of the New York Bar Association—Section on Trusts and Estates—and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, as well as its New York and Connecticut affiliates.

Julie also volunteers with a number of alumni and community organizations. She is past president of the Connecticut chapter of the Fordham Law Alumni Association, past president of the Alumni Association of Haverford College, and current co-chair for the Class of 1991 Annual Giving Fund. She is an Outstanding Women in Law 2021 Honoree for Hofstra Law School and she was recognized by the White House as a recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award from the Corporation for National and Community Service and Points of Light in 2018.  In 2016, she received the William E. Sheppard Award for exemplary service to Haverford College for her work in alumni relations. She is a member of the Wildlife Conservation Trust/Timber Owners of New England, a conservation organization in New Hampshire.
