Kurt Ryden is a Managing Director, Private Client Advisor and Institutional Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in New York, New York. Kurt leads the design and delivery of tailored advice and strategies for nonprofit organizations to pursue their mission fulfillment and long-term growth. He consults with board members and C-suite staff of endowments, foundations, and other institutional entities, helping them address a range of needs, including investment management, governance, strategic planning, administration, and fundraising.

Naturally inquisitive, Kurt is closely attuned to the distinctive priorities of philanthropic clients. He brings an in-depth understanding of fiduciary investment management, including customized asset allocation; outsourced CIO services; Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing; and single-asset-class sleeves. Kurt supports ongoing board and staff development, connecting clients to like-minded peers, so they can share best practices and leverage innovations.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust), Kurt spent more than 20 years with the JP Morgan Private Bank, where he was a Senior Private Banker and Managing Director. Previously, he worked for Fidelity Investments and MetLife. He holds a B.A. from Haverford College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Kurt is a Trustee for the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (AMR)/Ausable Club, serves on the Advisory Council for Haverford College’s “Fords in Finance” affinity group, is a past member of the Haverford Alumni Association Executive Committee and has been awarded the college’s Charles Perry Award for exemplary fundraising service.

Kurt, his wife, and their three sons live in Larchmont, New York, where he has served on the board of the Larchmont Avenue Church Pre-School and as a Den Leader for Larchmont Cub Scouts.
