Kurt Ryden is a Managing Director, Private Client Advisor and Institutional Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in New York, New York. Kurt directs the design and implementation of tailored wealth strategies for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He has experience advising C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, hedge fund principals, as well as endowment and foundation clients. As the leader of a client’s team, Kurt looks to foster an optimal client experience, often navigating the intersection of multiple disciplines: investment management, trust and estate planning, family office services, banking, pre-liquidity event strategies and philanthropy.
Kurt recognizes that significant wealth can be accompanied by significant complexity. Naturally inquisitive and a keen listener, he analyzes both sides of a client’s balance sheet to identify possible efficiencies, mindful of each client’s unique objectives. Honored to serve as a trusted advisor, Kurt is resolute in pursuing a client’s best interests, channeling resources and capabilities enterprise-wide.
Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Kurt spent more than 20 years with the JP Morgan Private Bank in New York, where he was a Senior Private Banker and Managing Director. Previously, he worked for Fidelity Investments and MetLife, where he completed its CEO-sponsored Executive Training Program.
He holds a B.A. from Haverford College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Kurt has served as a Trustee for the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (AMR)/Ausable Club, is an Advisory Board Member of the Kellogg Financial Network (KFN), serves on the Advisory Council for Haverford College’s “Fords in Finance” affinity group, a member of the Harverford Alumni Association Executive Committee and has been awarded the college's Charles Perry Award for exemplary fundraising service.
Kurt lives in Westchester County, New York where he has been active in his community, largely the result of his volunteering for his three sons’ activities over the years, including serving as a Trustee for the Larchmont Avenue Church Pre-School, as a Den Leader for Larchmont Cub Scouts and as an unofficial team photographer for countless soccer, baseball, hockey and flag football leagues.
