Lawrence Ashong-Katai joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2021 as a Private Client Advisor in Boston, Massachusetts.

In this role Lawrence works together with a team of professionals on behalf of a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, their families and nonprofit endowment managers, helping them strategically manage their wealth, invest in alignment with their strategic focus and manage risk through challenging markets. His team also serves clients who are entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and private equity and real estate professionals.

The team brings clients access to a wide range of resources, capabilities, and specialists within the Private Bank and can design and deliver personalized strategies for investment management and philanthropy, trust and estate planning services, and customized credit and lending solutions for a wide range of needs.

Lawrence has been with Bank of America in various roles since 2009. Most recently he was Vice President with the Premium Elite Plus team at Merrill Edge, where he managed portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses. 

Lawrence graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree, a major in business administration and a minor in economics.  

Lawrence is active in community service, and enjoys his volunteer work with the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Food Banks, which collect food for distribution in local communities.
