Marc Compton leads the Bank of America Private Bank in Oregon and Southwest Washington. His time with Bank of America spans twenty-one years and includes serving across the bank and country in multiple leadership roles: Regional Executive for the Premier Banking and Investments group, Director for Merrill Lynch, and Director for Banc of America Investment Services, Inc. He has led in the Private Bank for fifteen years spending the bulk of that time in Silicon Valley.

Prior to joining Bank of America, Marc worked for Morgan Stanley as a Director and Financial Advisor for ten years. In addition to the investment industry, Marc worked in roles for Martin Marietta, LTV Aerospace, and Recognition Equipment. Over this ten-year span, he served in roles as a Management Consultant, Information Technology Project Manager, and Software Developer.

Bank of America Private Bank strives to simplify the complex financial lives of its high-net-worth clients. Marc’s team members are experienced in the areas of banking, investing, and lending. More specifically, the team offers expertise in structuring and managing wealth across multiple generations, managing endowments and other philanthropic interests, implementing and managing trusts, and arranging credit facilities for the purchase of aircraft, yacht, timberland, farm and ranch, commercial real estate, and personal residential properties.

Marc holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Finance and Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Oklahoma Christian College. He currently has three board associations: Trustee for his alma mater, Oklahoma Christian in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, an emeritus member for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Oregon, and President of the Southwest Church of Christ Board in Tigard, Oregon.
