Marcelo Egea, CSRIC® is a Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in New York, New York. Marcelo works closely with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, connecting them to the capabilities and resources that can make their financial lives easier and more efficient. He works in concert with a Private Client Advisor to discern client priorities, delineate strategies, and spearhead precise implementation. Marcelo also provides coordination and oversight across the members of a client’s Private Bank team, helping to advance steady progress toward each client’s distinctive objectives.

Driven by an ingrained work ethic, Marcelo is resolute in tracking down solutions. He credits his training as an engineer for his ability to optimize processes, making them smoother and more streamlined. Clients can look to Marcelo for timely and responsive service for a range of needs. He appreciates the value of their time and is gratified to be a reliable presence in their lives.

Marcelo joined Bank of America in 2019 and has steadily taken on additional responsibilities. He began his career as a Relationship Manager, gaining a strong understanding of clients’ investment, credit, and banking needs. In 2021, he was promoted to his current role as Private Client Manager with the Private Bank. Previously, he worked in his family’s manufacturing business in Brazil.

Marcelo earned his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado - in São Paulo, Brazil, where he graduated first in his class. He continued his education at Saint Paul Escola de Negócios, where he completed coursework in investment banking. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Marcelo is a member of HOLA, the Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership & Advancement at Bank of America. In his free time, he plays in two area soccer leagues, loves to cook—particularly Italian food, and enjoys exploring destinations near and far.
