Mark Munn is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor for Bank of America Private Bank in Charleston, South Carolina. With more than three decades of financial services experience, Mark also puts his skills to work as President for Bank of America, N.A.’s Charleston/Hilton Head market. In this role, he serves as the enterprise leader providing business, civic, and philanthropic leadership across the region.

With roots firmly planted in the area, Mark believes he offers deep insights targeted to the needs of individuals, families, and businesses in the community and can connect them to financial services teams with the resources to help simplify their complex and sophisticated financial lives. He brings the extensive global resources of the Private Bank to multiple generations of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. In addition to helping owners of privately held companies with succession plans, he also helps foundations manage their assets to advance their underlying missions. Backed by a dedicated team of specialists, Mark provides strategic guidance to clients with respect to investment management, trust and estate planning services, philanthropic objectives, and custom credit and lending solutions.

Over the course of his career with Bank of America and its predecessor banks, Mark has worked in a variety of leadership roles, including retail banking, professional and executive banking, and premier banking. Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2000, he served as the market leader for professional and executive banking in Beaufort County, South Carolina, where he was responsible for managing the personal and business banking relationships for corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals.

Mark graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Actively involved in his community, he currently serves on the boards of The Gibbes Museum of Art, Cradle to Career, Spoleto Festival USA, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and Spoleto USA. Some of his past leadership positions in the community include, The South Carolina Bankers Association, Trident United Way, Leadership South Carolina – Class of 2016, Hilton Head Island Celebrity Golf Tournament, The Sandbox Children’s Museum, St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Hilton Head Christian Academy, and Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. Mark and his wife, Cindy, live in Charleston and have two children, Carly and Wesley. His hobbies center around golf and a variety of water sports, including boating and fishing.
