Mark Fitzgerald has been a Managing Director and Institutional Client Advisor with Bank of America, in Westport, Connecticut, since 2019. Mark focuses on advising institutional and nonprofit clients, helping these entities advance their underlying missions through integrated investment management and financial oversight, investment policy design and review, fiduciary services, administration, governance and leadership development. He leads the design, development, and implementation of tailored strategies for educational endowments, foundations, health care, faith-based and other charitable organizations.
Mindful of the unique objectives of each organization, Mark looks to harness the extensive resources of Bank of America to support an institution’s long-term sustainability and growth. He works in concert with a team of specialists, each of whom brings extensive experience in areas that include strategic planning and advice, governance consulting, grant-making, and board and staff education.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Mark served as a Managing Director with Commonfund, where he worked for more than 14 years advising nonprofit organizations. Previously, he was an Associate Director with UBS in the Exchange Traded Derivatives group. He holds a B.S. in engineering from Widener University and an M.B.A. in finance from Fairfield University.
Mark is actively involved in local philanthropic and volunteer efforts, including serving on the Advisory Board for the Center for Nonprofits at Sacred Heart University.
