Matt Lynch is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Seattle, Washington. He assists ultra-high-net-worth clients who have created and inherited significant wealth. They include active and retired owners of family businesses, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, art collectors, generations of families, and non-profit organizations in the Northwest and across the country.

Matt leads and coordinates an experienced team of talented specialists who formulate a tailored wealth management strategy for each client across multiple disciplines – investment management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity-event and business succession strategies, philanthropy, and liability management. The team also helps clients with marine, airplane and collectible art lending.  

Critical to Matt is appreciating what some clients define as the purpose of their wealth, their short- and long-term goals, and those family members for whom they may be responsible. By communicating frequently with both spouses and adult children whenever possible, he can more effectively develop solutions that address key objectives – which is especially important when a client’s life is in transition.

Matt joined Bank of America in 1981 and held management and relationship banking positions in the commercial and consumer banking divisions. He moved to the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 1992. Matt is a former board member of The Seattle Repertory Theatre and past president of the board of Consumer Credit Counseling Services. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Eastern Washington University. Matt and his wife, Kim, have two adult children and two grandchildren. In addition to playing golf and fly fishing, Matt puts a premium on spending time with his growing family – especially, at their lake cabin.
