Michael Heaney is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in San Antonio, Texas. He has more than 30 years of experience addressing the myriad financial challenges and opportunities facing highly successful entrepreneurs and generations of their families, as well as corporate executives, family offices and their clients, and charitable foundations.

Supported by the Private Bank’s extensive global resources, he leads a team of specialists working in concert to provide investment management, trust and estate planning services, customized credit and banking, wealth strategy, family office services and philanthropy.

With his strong competency in private banking and commercial real estate, Michael is especially mindful of clients’ liquidity needs and skilled at helping with concentrated assets. He is also adept at pre- and post-liquidity event strategies, able to connect with clients’ external tax and legal advisors, as appropriate.

Resolute in his determination to meet and surpass clients’ objectives, Michael prides himself on being responsible and responsive to clients and his team of specialists. He feels a genuine sense of fulfillment providing the knowledge and know-how that allows clients to identify and reach their goals – financially and personally.

Michael joined the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 1997. He worked in private banking at other large financial institutions before re-joining Bank of America in 2016. Michael holds an M.B.A. from St. Louis University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri.

The proud father of two adult children, Michael enjoys hiking, biking and paddle boarding.
