Michelle B. Fries is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Chicago. Michelle offers more than two decades of wealth management experience and insight, helping high-net-worth clients make informed decisions about multiple aspects of their financial lives. Business owners, corporate executives, and families look to her for assistance in discerning the strategies that align with their goals, weighing their options, and capitalizing on resources at their disposal, enterprise wide. An effective team leader, Michelle also facilitates collaboration across the members of a client’s Private Bank team, advancing a more efficient approach to the opportunities and challenges presented by significant wealth.
Michelle develops strong relationships with the clients she serves, offering the warmth and immediacy of boutique-like financial services , with access to the expansive resources of the Private Bank. Working in concert with dedicated specialists, she helps clients enact a purposeful approach to their wealth, encompassing investment management, trust and estate planning services, business succession planning, and philanthropy. She has particular depth in customized credit, overseeing a variety of lending requests with diligence.
Michelle began her career with Bank of America in 2000 and has gained exposure to several lines of business, including public sector banking, residential lending, commercial real estate, and consumer banking. She earned her B.S. in Finance from Benedictine University and completed the Accelerating Growth Program at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, Michelle was nominated by Private Bank leadership to serve as a Fellow in the World Business Chicago (WBC) Fellowship program.
Michelle serves as an advisor to Bank of America’s Hispanic Latino Executive Council. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
