Patricia Besser is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Chicago. Pat is responsible for leading private banking teams that cater to the distinctive needs of ultra-high-net-worth families. She is responsible for some of the most significant relationships in the firm, offering a level of customization, diligence, and care that differentiate her approach.

Pat leads a highly credentialed team of specialists who work in concert to address multiple facets of clients’ financial lives. Consistent and methodical in their approach, they recognize the singularity of each client’s priorities and needs, supporting those objectives with unflagging resolve. A veteran team leader, Pat is adept in unwinding complex issues and tackling large-scale transactions, grounding her work in integrity and precision.

Pat joined Bank of America’s private wealth group in 2001 following more than 20 years in corporate finance and investment banking with several U.S. and international financial firms. She has lived and worked in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Africa. She earned her undergraduate degree in Economics with Honors from the University of Notre Dame, as well as her M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. In 2009, Barron’s recognized her as one of the Top 100 Financial Advisors in America. The following year, Wealth Management Magazine honored her as one of the Top 50 Women in Finance.*

Pat is very active in nonprofit leadership. Her board involvements include the Big Shoulders Fund, where she is a member of the patrons committee; the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, where she was former chairman; The Economic Club of Chicago; The Chicago Club, where she chairs the membership commission; and the Carlton Club (Ritz Carlton), where she serves on the board of governors. She is also a member of The Commercial Club of Chicago and the Chicago Network.
