Paul W. Armfield, CFA®, is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, he is responsible for creating and maintaining personalized investment strategies utilizing a broad range of wealth management services. Paul works with individuals and families, helping them manage their personal assets in keeping with their distinctive goals, risk tolerance, and personal circumstances. This includes assisting clients with establishing goals, working towards developing an appropriate overall investment strategy, formulating potential solutions, and conducting periodic reviews to help clients monitor progress toward reaching their objectives.
In addition, he supports clients in navigating through changing market environments to provide traditional advice and guidance in the areas of asset allocation, tax-minimization, retirement, and multigenerational planning -- from risk-based strategies to banking and lending needs. Investment choices include individual stocks and bonds, exchange traded funds, mutual funds, and alternative investments which include hedge funds, private equity and structured solutions.* Paul works closely with clients’ external advisors, such as attorneys and accountants as well as the broader private bank team to access a wide range of resources, capabilities and specialists.
Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Paul served as an Investment Manager at Wells Fargo for 23 years. Paul obtained a B.S. degree in management from Guilford College and he is a CFA® charterholder.
Active in his community, Paul currently volunteers with Meals on Wheels and Senior Services. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Winston-Salem and a former board member of the Winston-Salem Symphony.
In his free time, Paul enjoys cycling. He currently resides in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his wife Anna Roberge.
