Ramsay H. Slugg is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor within the Chief Investment Office (CIO) of Bank of America. In this role, Ramsay assists in the preparation of materials on various financial, tax and estate planning ideas and planning solutions for Bank of America Private Bank clients and their families, and works with those individuals and families to help them to implement such solutions. Ramsay also serves as the national head of art planning for the Bank of America Private Bank Art Services group.

Prior to joining Bank of America, he was the National Practice Director of Bank of America’s Philanthropic Management group, and before that served as the Central Region Director of the Bank’s Charitable Management Services Group, and the Central Region Director of the Wealth Management Consulting Group. Ramsay has served as an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University and Texas A&M University College of Law, teaching courses in Introductory and Advanced Federal Income and Estate Taxation.

Ramsay received his J.D. degree from the Ohio State University College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University. Ramsay is admitted to practice law in Texas, is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), the State Bar of Texas, the American and Tarrant County (Texas) Bar Associations, the Tax and Estate Planning Section of the Tarrant County Bar (Chair, 1999-2000), the Lone Star Chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is also the author of the Handbook of Practical Planning for Artists, Art Collectors and Their Advisors, Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association. He is also a frequent speaker on tax and financial planning topics, particularly as they relate to charitable planning and planning with art and collectibles.
