Rex S Ritter

Senior Vice President, Private Client Advisor

Professional Profile

Rex Ritter is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Portland, Oregon. A longtime fixture in the Portland music community, Rex works to cultivate comfortable and trusted working relationships with busy clients who can benefit from the creative energy of a knowledgeable wealth management professional.

A majority of Rex’s clients are successful business owners and serial entrepreneurs who anticipate or have experienced liquidity events. He also serves generations of wealthy families, as well as philanthropic institutions.

For all clients, Rex encourages the innovative formulation of customized strategies by managing the collaboration and input of specialists on his team, and throughout Bank of America. His goal is to create a framework for clients where tax minimization strategies and estate planning services align with tailored investment management, wealth structuring, and lending solutions for real estate, expansion and collectibles. Rex also strives to help clients who wish to pass along wealth and values to their children.

In 1997, Rex began his career with the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust). He rejoined the firm in 2017 after spending eight years with Umpqua Private Bank.

Rex holds a B.A. from Washington’s Evergreen State College in Film Studies and a place in his heart for music and art. In 2009, he collaborated with fellow band members on what was later named as one of Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Metal Albums of All Time. Today, Rex serves on the boards of two contemporary arts non-profits – Yale Union and Converge 45. He is also a recording engineer and plays with a local jazz band. A resident of Southeast Portland, Rex relishes family time with his wife, Sarah, and their two young daughters (who love to dance to whatever he plays for them).
