Richard Barron is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Washington, D.C. Drawing on his education, financial industry knowledge and extensive experience, he helps ultra-high-net-worth clients create strategies to address the unique challenges of managing their often complex wealth. Richard works with an accomplished nationwide clientele in metropolitan areas ranging from Washington, D.C. and New York to southern California; Palm Beach, Florida; and Dallas, Texas.  

Through his team of specialists from the Private Bank, Richard can offer access to wealth management insights from the legal, government relations, consulting, middle-market investment banking, and financial sponsor communities. He and his team have deep experience across a range of wealth management areas, including strategies for investment management and pre-liquidity event planning, trust and estate planning services, M&A advisory services, and solutions for complex credit and lending issues.  

Richard began his financial career as a systems analyst at Solomon Brothers. Prior to joining the Private Bank in 2016 (formerly U.S. Trust), he worked as a financial advisor at E.F. Hutton, Parker Hunter, Alex Brown, Morgan Stanley, SunTrust, and Deutsche Bank. He graduated from Dickinson College with a B.A. degree in political science and earned an M.B.A. degree at Drexel University. 

In the community, Richard has served on the Leukemia Lymphoma Advisory Board and as a past treasurer of the Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania. He is a founding board member of the International AIDS Prevention & Awareness Foundation. Richard also helped found and manage seven annual golf tournaments to raise funds for a western Pennsylvania non-profit hospital. Currently, he is an advisor for EarthX.
