Robert Tynes is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in St. Louis, Missouri. Robert provides customized advice and guidance to business owners, executives, and other high-net-worth individuals, helping them approach their wealth more strategically. He offers more than three decades of experience in banking and investing, with detailed knowledge of business succession strategies and liquidity-event planning. His investment acumen is grounded in an intuitive understanding for people and their priorities, allowing him to connect clients to meaningful capabilities, enterprise wide. 

As a key point of client contact, Robert stays closely apprised of clients’ interests and intentions, helping them capitalize on the resources at their disposal. He works in concert with a team of locally based specialists, each with extensive experience in a particular discipline: banking and lending, tax-sensitive wealth structuring, trust and estate planning services, business and succession planning, and investing. Together, Robert and his team look to unwind the intricacies of significant wealth, mindful of a client’s current needs and long-term aspirations.

Prior to joining the Private Bank, Robert spent 11 years with Gratry & Company, a boutique investment firm, where he was a Managing Director. While at Gratry, Robert spearheaded the sale of the firm to Confluence Investment Management, where he remained for three years to oversee the transition. Earlier in his career, Robert gained significant experience in investing, commercial banking, and credit. He earned his M.B.A. in strategy from Loyola University in Chicago and his B.S.B.A. in economics from the University of Missouri Columbia. Robert holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of the CFA institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis.

A St. Louis native, Robert is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys golf and fly fishing.
