Ronald S. Ortiz is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Walnut Creek, California.  Ron works very closely with high-net-worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, families, and family offices, to deliver and simplify a personalized approach to complex financial issues.  He provides guidance on asset allocation, financial strategy and leverage, tax minimization strategies, and intergenerational transfers.  Ron has particular depth in catering to the needs of real estate investors, developers, and private equity investors, leveraging on more than three decades of experience in commercial and residential real estate lending, asset-based lending, and cash flow based financing.

Ron leads a team of in-house professionals specifically in investments, trust and fiduciary services, estate planning services, philanthropy, family office service, credit and lending, and high touch banking services.  With in-depth knowledge of each relationship, Ron advises and connects clients to the capabilities that align with their unique needs, from portfolio management and wealth strategies, to aircraft and art lending.   Notwithstanding, he also leverages his background with traditional credit solutions to specific mortgage solutions for primary, secondary, and investor residential financing.   Throughout each relationship, Ron strives to simplify the Private Bank’s many capabilities to the benefit each client.

Ron has worked in the financial services industry since 1986.  Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank in 2020, he was a Senior Client Executive and Executive Director with JP Morgan Real Estate Group in San Francisco and a Senior Vice President and Manager leading a team of lenders with Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Group in San Francisco. Previously, he held several positions with Union Bank of California

Ron has been a resident of Walnut Creek for almost 30 years where he and his wife, a practicing attorney in San Francisco, have enjoyed raising their two sons.
