Scott A. Farber is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Southeast Florida. Scott helps clients address complex and sensitive wealth management concerns. He coordinates with his clients’ other professional advisors to develop personalized strategies for tax and estate planning, charitable giving, and investment management.  In addition, he leads a team that helps advise clients of the Private Bank on international planning issues.

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2005, Scott was a Vice President in charge of the wealth advisory practice at Woodstock Corporation, a Boston investment management firm. Previously, he was an attorney at Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, P.C. in Boston where he focused on estate and business succession planning, charitable giving, business law, and taxation. Earlier, Scott worked in the family wealth planning group at the national accounting firm Ernst and Young, LLP. (He does not give legal or accounting advice in his role at The Private Bank.) 

Scott is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)*. He earned his B.B.A. degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association.  

Scott has shared his knowledge of strategic wealth planning topics through numerous newspaper and magazine articles and as a guest on financially focused radio programs.
