Scott D Brown

Managing Director - US Trust, Private Client Advisor

Professional Profile

Scott Brown is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor in the Boston office of Bank of America Private Bank. Scott works with high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families, addressing a range of financial needs. With more than a decade of wealth management experience, Scott is adept in serving clients with complex financial situations. He marshals the extensive resources of the Private Bank, integrating the skills and knowledge of the team of specialists. Scott is privileged to work with a select group of clients who have unique needs and circumstances.

Scott and his team provide customized services and strategies tailored to client needs. Offerings include concierge banking; customized credit for sophisticated lending needs, such as aircraft, marine, fine art and real estate finance; investment management, including traditional, alternative, and specialty asset management; wealth transfer strategies; planned giving and philanthropy. Scott points to the Private Bank's fiduciary platform as an important differentiating factor in the client experience.

Scott primarily serves two client groups: (1) clients with concentrated (and often illiquid) wealth in assets such as real estate, private equity, hedge funds, single public equity, and private business ownership; and (2) clients who anticipate—or have recently experienced—a liquidity event, such as entrepreneurs or private equity executives. In both cases, Scott defines his approach based on the source of wealth, accounting for inherent challenges and opportunities.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Scott was Vice President-Investments and Private Wealth Advisor at UBS Private Wealth Management. His work also includes tenures with Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York, where he worked in equity research covering the technology sector; and a Fortune 500 company, where he was a technology consultant.

Scott earned his B.S. in Management and his M.B.A. from Binghamton University.
