Scott Brown is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Boston, Massachusetts. He has more than a decade of experience providing wealth management guidance for a select group of high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with complex financial needs. Scott marshals the extensive resources of the Private Bank, integrating the skills and knowledge of an experienced team to provide clients with customized wealth management strategies and services. These include banking, sophisticated lending (such as aircraft, marine, fine art and real estate finance), investment management (including traditional, alternative*, and specialty asset management), and strategies for wealth transfer, planned giving and philanthropy. He believes the fiduciary platform at the Private Bank is an important differentiating factor in the client experience.   

Scott primarily focuses on two distinct groups of clients. The first has concentrated (and often illiquid) wealth in assets such as real estate, private equity, hedge funds, single public equity, and private business ownership. The second includes entrepreneurs and private equity executives who anticipate, or have recently experienced, a liquidity event. In each circumstance, he helps the client define a wealth management approach that considers the source of wealth, as well as inherent challenges and opportunities.

Prior to joining the Private Bank in 2012, Scott was a private wealth advisor and vice president for investments at UBS Private Wealth Management. Previously, he worked in equity research  at Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York, covering the technology sector. He was also a technology consultant at a Fortune 500 company. 

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management and an M.B.A. degree from Binghamton University.
