May Tsao is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Atlanta, Georgia. Combining a personal touch with the knowledge of a global financial institution, May seeks to connect ultra-high-net-worth clients with the resources they need to address complex financial goals. She concentrates on building strong relationships with multi-generational families, business owners and entrepreneurs, including many in the manufacturing, retail and hospitality industries.
May’s primary focus is on assisting clients with a wide range of credit and liquidity needs. She has specific experience with structured financing for real estate, including shopping centers, hotels and multi-family housing. In addition, she coordinates with the other members of each client’s Private Bank team to offer strategies for wealth planning and investment management, as well as trust and estate planning services.
May joined the Private Bank in 2009, eight years after she began her financial services career at Bank of America. In each of her earlier roles as a small business specialist, premier client manager and Private Bank specialist, she worked with clients of increasing wealth. She enjoys having “a seat at the table” with clients and their families as they make important financial decisions – whether assisting business founders with exit strategies or arranging financing to help younger family members purchase their first home.
May graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. degree in business administration, focusing on international business, and then earned her MBA degree at Mercer University.
An active member of the National Association of Asian American Professionals, May also volunteers with the Gwinnett County Humane Society.
