Simone Melo is a Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She connects ultra-high-net-worth clients with strategies for pursuing their wealth management goals, today and for future generations. Simone is committed to building relationships based on personalized, “white glove” service, deep understanding of what matters most to clients, and her ability to provide a unique set of solutions.
As the leader of a Private Bank team, Simone offers a boutique-like approach with access to extensive resources. She and her team can deliver strategies that may include investment management, trust and estate planning services, and customized credit and lending solutions.
Simone focuses on entrepreneurs and business owners, especially from South Florida’s Latin American community. An immigrant, a woman of color, and a Stage IV cancer survivor, Simone knows what it takes to persevere and thrive against all odds. Not only is she an expert in modern lending, investing, and estate planning, she is relatable, empathetic, and determined.
Simone holds an MBA in global leadership from MIT, two additional masters degrees in business and management, and a B.S. degree in business administration. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank in 2019, Simone had more than two decades of international business experience.
She passionately supports and actively volunteers with a wide range of non-profit organizations that focus on entrepreneurship, women, and the Black community. She is deeply committed to inclusivity and diversity. Involved in several internal networking groups including The Black Professional Network and HOLA, she represents minorities and is an ally to the LBGTQ community. Simone is a member of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, LIDE Miami, and The United Way of Miami-Dade.
Simone loves to travel and learn about different cultures. She has lived in Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.S. She has visited more than 40 countries. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she has become an empty nester. She lives in South Florida. Her twins, Sabrina and Sergio, are in college pursuing their dream careers.
