Simone Melo is a Private Client Associate at Bank of America Private Bank in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, she is responsible for connecting high-net-worth individuals and institutions to solutions that can help them reach their financial goals. Her approach combines the client experience of a boutique-like private bank with access to extensive resources, including traditional, specialty asset, alternative, and capital market investment solutions as well as customized credit and banking offerings.  

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank she spent over than two decades supporting the most complex needs of individuals and businesses. She is focused on offering first class services to her clients and strives to build a genuine relationship with them, taking time to truly understand what their most valuable priorities are. Her financial advice empowered companies and business owners to achieve their financial goals.

Simone holds a B.S. in Business Administration and two master’s degrees in management and general business. She also completed an M.B.A. in Management and Global Leadership at MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the Sloan School of Management in 2009. She has an extensive international exposure having lived in Brazil, Spain and Switzerland and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. During five years was affiliated to international organizations with partners located in the five continents that supported importers and exporters from different industries on their financing and credit risk guarantee needs. 

An avid supporter of her local development organizations, Simone is involved with the MIT South Florida Alumni Club, Rotary Club of Weston, Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, and Black Professional Network. She is passionate supporter and an active participant in the community volunteering for multiple organizations including Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Feeding America, Bike for Africa, LifeNet4Families, Caps of Love, No More Tears, ChildHelp, Honors Flight and others. 

Simone was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but currently lives in Weston, Florida, mother of three teenagers Sabrina, Sergio and Christian and married to Vern with whom learned all about unconditional love and care.  She loves to travel, learn about different cultures and have visited around thirty countries.
