Aliyu Ahmed is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor II with Bank of America Private Bank in Century City, California. Aliyu works closely with high net-worth individuals and families to help optimize and manage their wealth. By identifying a client’s primary goals and needs, Aliyu and his team coordinate local resources and the national capabilities of Bank of America Enterprise to help clients reach their objectives. He leads a team of Bank of America Private Bank specialists who work in concert to design and implement tailored financial strategies in investing management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity-event strategies, lending and philanthropy.
Aliyu has worked in the financial services industry for 18 years. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S Trust) in 2005, he served as a Vice President and Financial Center Manager III at Bank of America helping give him experience and insights into the wealth management needs of high-net-worth individuals and families. Previously, he was an Assistant Vice President and financial center Manager II, Senior Personal Banker and Loan Officer with Bank of America.
Aliyu obtained a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Pepperdine University, a Master of Science in Risk Management from New York University (NYU), Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Wales, and Bachelor of Science (B.S) Banking and Finance from University of Maiduguri. He is Harvard alumnus who graduated from the Program for Leadership Development (PLDA)-Harvard Business School.
Aliyu also obtained several certifications ranging from strategic negotiation, competitive strategy, to risk management for corporate leaders, from Harvard Business School.
He currently serves on the West Los Angeles Leadership Council of Bank of America and an active member of Gamma Beta Sigma.
