Marsha Scott is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Greenwich, Connecticut. She works closely with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, constructing customized investment portfolios tailored to help meet their lifestyle needs and estate planning goals.
She started her career at U.S. Trust in 1976 and joined Bank of America in 2007 when both organizations merged. Marsha has worked alongside many clients and their family members for generations, aware of their life events and financial needs. Marsha is dedicated to spending the time needed with clients to maintain her familiarity with their financial aspirations and family goals, striving to know everyone as well as the clients she has known for decades.
Marsha’s mantra is for each client to feel like they are her only client. She listens carefully and her enthusiasm for investing can lead to insightful discussions about investment interests. She welcomes questions on topics such as market behavior, equity themes and future trends, and is thorough when explaining her thought process in a manner that is easily followed. Ultimately, Marsha’s goal is to have clients focus their time on enjoying the activities and passions that they care most about, without the distractions of the daily financial news and occasional market volatility.
A graduate of Goucher College in Maryland, Marsha then lived in New York City, joining U.S. Trust in their Trust Department. While working for U.S. Trust she earned her MBA from New York University which helped launch her investment career at the Firm. In 1980 Marsha became a Portfolio Manager, one of just a few women in that role. After moving to Connecticut she helped open the Stamford office of U.S. Trust in 1993 and remained in Connecticut where she and her husband raised their daughter. A resident of Greenwich, Marsha enjoys playing golf, racquet sports and Maj Jongg at Innes Arden Golf Club. She is also a former board member of River House in Greenwich.
